Hi,
I wanted a highside pmos switch to cutoff 11V Battery power. Initially I placed a PMOS switch (in PSPICE) with control circuitry. For all the time the switch passes the voltage from drain to source whatever may be the gate voltage. Then I came across 2 PMOS switches in series with drain connected to others (refer to the image attached, Q1 and Q2 connected in the same format).
Now when I simulate I get the required result.
What is this configuration?I am still not clear about how it functions??
I have seen the same configuration used in Battery protection circuits.
