I started a post grad in computing in September and its not my primary background. Anyway, there is gates, boolean algebra, karnaugh mapping, binary to decimal conversion, hec to decimal/binary conversion, 1's complement, 2's complement etc. Anyway, I need some help in trying to understand it.

These are past exams not current and I am using them as a study tool. I can't understand it unless I can study solutions and build understanding from those solutions posing questions to myself along the lines of why is a certain approach taken for a certain question. That help to build knowledge and understanding. Now do you know why I posted the question?

Um... all these subjects are extensively covered on the internets, none of them are difficult to find or learn.

Additionally, conversions can be done with calculator if it is allowed and you do not want to learn how to do it by hand.

 

The Digital volume of the All About Circuits e-book is a good read too.
