Hi,

I have a huge problem with guinea-fowl in my yard. Their noise is driving me crazy.

Can i use a normal pest repellent to get rid of them.

Any help, please

 

This is a huge world and you have many birds and animals in Africa that are not here in Canada.

An ultrasonic pest repeller does not work for mosquitoes and might cause dogs to bark more.
Try one to see if it repells those birds.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like I've to go for plan B and build a horizontal electric fence with an 22kv @0.2Amp output to make sure these birds get killed instantly.

 

Won't the zapping fence also zap people and other animals?

No, it won't because i'll see to that. I'm planning to use a push to make switch to activate the setup. By the way, it's only me and my wife.

I'm used to high voltages because i work with it each and everyday in my work environment. I make sure nobody is near when i use this device.

I think, just a few zaps and those birds will seek for better grounds.

 

They look tasty. Sometimes only a complicated electronic setup will do, other times you just need an axe.

 

Yum, yum!

They eat lice, worms, ants, spiders, weedseeds, and ticks while on range... The cooked flesh of guineafowl resembles chicken in texture, with a flavour somewhere between chicken and turkey.

Forget the electronics, and get a slingshot!
