Hi,i was wondered if anyone could help me with this little project? I'm looking to build a circuit that has a LED on a low light all the time (quite simple) then when triggered by a low volt audio output it flashers the LED for 20-30 sec.. laching maybe? then returns to low light. I've not done any electronics since tandy went under with the 1000 in one kits they did..LOL.. So i'll be a bit rusty but been looking at circuits on the net but i just cant find the one i am after. Also I've looked at the 555 one shot circuit which seems to be on the right tracks. I would be very greatfull if anybody could help!!!!

Thanks, Kevin

Welcome to the forums! Can you elaborate on what you mean by flashing for 30 sec? It sounds like you want to detect an audio signal, flash for a while and then go low again (even if the music is still playing?).

Yes, so the LED is on low level then detects audio level it pulses the LED for 20 or 30 sec then resets it self, back to low level. until it detects audio again.

Hope that makes sence?

Thanks, Kev
