I am mechanical engineer and a electronics hobbyist.
I have developed interest in PLC programming.
What is the best way to start.

Sure, as long as its on-topic. Is the PLC.net site the one that has the crazy man talking to you as soon as you navigate to the homepage?!

I'm taking a PLC class this semester, it's only 2 hours a week for 16 weeks and after the first day I already know how to program in most of the basic logic functions. Try a local community college if you want to get the full experience with it(be sure it's a good one that actually has a good amount of PLCs).

PM me your e-mail adress and I'll send it you if you still can't access the site.
I would post it but the file is too large (5.80 MB) and the author is ok with anykind of distribution.
