Piklab problem - is there a solution???

I've loaded Piklab and it looks really good.

There's a lot to learn and I guess I have missed something. I seem to have a problem when I make any changes to the parallel port configuration.

I'm not able to write to a pic yet (16f876A) and every time I make a change to the parallel port and then save it, Piklab stops responding! The port edit window stays bright in the foreground but the main Piklab window behind fades to grey.

Anyone know a solution to this please? At the moment I have to re-boot to get everything back each time I make a change - very tedious!
