Picking the right AC transformer to drive a voltage multiplier?

I have a project I am wanting to do using a AC transformer and a voltage multiplier to generate 20kV-30kV at low current for a lifter.

I have enough info to build the multiplier but have read that after so many stages problems arise with the output voltage.

I'm just wondering what I can use for a small AC transformer, or where I can get a small AC transformer to act as a step up/isolation transformer.

Primary voltage will be 110V @ 5W max. I want the secondary to be at least 5kV, which will be fed to a 3 or four stage voltage multiplier.

Can anyone give me any suggestions on this?
