I've got a project where i'm using a pic to control some stepper motors using a 232 interface.
It currently uses a Visual Basic 6 program on a laptop to control the stepper motors. Basically these stepper motors control the position of a camera so that it can be used in time lapse.
However, what I would ideally like to do next is be able to write the mini programs on the laptop (albeit the sequence of motor positions) and then download it to a pic for it to run the sequence.
Similar to how the old 1970s big trak used to work...
