PFC boost in SMPS

I try to adjust PFC boost(85 - 264Vac to 400Vdc) in switching mode power supply. my current design set output to 360Vdc then I set the voltage higher about 400Vdc and found power factor increase a bit(from 0.92 to 0.96) so I would like to know the relationship between PF and Vinac,load or else. Do you have equation to explain on this relationship?
