Hello,
I have two FX pedals (9V DC) in loop of my guitar amp which I control using switches on my floor pedal board.
I control amp's reverb and its channels too.
I used 3 m long ethernet patch cable and couple of female JR45 adopters.
(There are 8 leads in cable, I'm currently using 7 of them)
PROBLEM No 1.
It looks like I pushed my system to its limits because it wouldn't work with 5 m cable when I play on bigger stages.
(I know there are different type of ethernet patch cables standard/crossed etc,
but I double checked my cable to be sure wiring was correct)
I intend to put couple of mosfets in my circuit. I understand the principle but I don't know how to select the right components.
I'll place them in same box with my pedals so signal would have very short way to go.
Now, I am afraid that mosfet wouldn't function because of cable length.
I need a mosfet (hopefully 9V DC) which would function with this cable
(5 m long patch, I don't know excaly its square area but it should be easy to find out)
Can I compensate the cable length with higher voltage?
PROBLEM No 2.
I would like to implement light diodes on my floor pedal board but I don't know how to do that
since some of my pedals are controlled by momentary switches.
I tried to find "hybrid" double switches ( Latch + momentary) but I couldn't find them.
This has been done before but I just can't find it.
Problem No 3
How can I order 9V mosfet? All shops offer3V, 4.5V, 5V, 12V, 24V...
Data sheet says there are 9V mosfets.
