Hi all, I'm having a devil of a time scaling pcb's with my laser printer. The first and last pins on the dips line up, but not the ones in the middle. These are circuit boards from reliable online sources. Any suggestions?

 

Clean the rollers on your printer?

Or, ask a friend to print (or take a PDF to a store like STAPLES).

That will confirm the printer vs file have errors.

it sounds like if you need the accuracy for the pins of the dip's, and errors on the middle pins, maybe its a problem with the resolution..gopherT's solution on pdf's are good..

I have never seen a scale error that isn't constant across the entire print out, unless it is a roll printer and the roll got stuck.

Are you sure both ICs have the exact same number of pins?
