Is it OK if I volunteer other people to take this trip?

If I lost my family, my incentive to live a long and productive life, I would sign up for it. We all have to die some day, why not see something that nobody else ever will before you go?

    (1) How many of them would still volunteer if it became a real, and not just academic, option?

    (2) Is it possible that anyone willing to volunteer possesses the same character traits that shouid eliminate them from consideration, namely the lack of a very strong survival instinct?

i think they should send all these lcds and plasmas there with the set designers then we may get back to servicing some decent built to last sets instead of the throw away scrap for sale today....

Good point. To assume that we aren't capable of one day making a round trip to mars is a bit defeatist. I should be more open minded.

So, you want a round trip ticket to mars, and you want it in one day? Sheesh. Hard to please this guy.

I'd rather have the trip take one day. Spending months in space makes me worry about how I'll get back to Earth!

I'll gladly sell anyone a round trip ticket to Mars with passage guaranteed to only take at most one day each way. Of course, payment will be required up front and scheduling is subject to change without notice or refund. :D
