I bought this video camera at a junk shop awhile ago. It is the type of camera that uses a tube instead of a ccd. To my dismay, when I plugged it into my television, the vision was very blurry, hardly a picture at all. I never did get it working.

Today I did a tear-down in search of components. I discovered something interesting. Directly behind the lens, There is a piece of material that has seemingly degraded and become hazy.

So if anyone buys a similar camera and experiences picture problems, It may be just a matter of removing the lens and then cleaning or removing this part. However, keep in mind that it is a very difficult tear-down and it will be hard to piece back together.

Hi there,jamus!
I now this is a long shot, with more than three years between your post and my question...but I have to ask
I just bought the exact same camera model with the exact same problem, although I'm not able to remove the lens to access the prism (or whatever) behind it...
I cant find screws or a mechnism to release it
Could you please help me?
