I am going to build a 20db audio booster, It is quite simple to build, no problem there except when I went looking for the transistor in my circuit I couldn't find it, I was wondering whether I would be able to use a simular transistor or are there other types I could use instead, I need to use a 2n3392 npn Transistor.
Could anyone suggest a simular component to use

(no worries the highlights are for me, take no notice of them)

Here's a nice one with less noise that the original.

The simple transistor will not work when the battery voltage drops a little as it discharges because the transistor will be cutoff producing severe distortion. An opamp circuit will be much better.
