I have a XBMC setup with a PC, TV and audio amp. I get the sound via HDMI.
I can't get it from the audio port direct because I have a spiller to feed HDMI to the upstairs TV. If I used the audio port, I would have no sound for upstairs TV.
The downstairs TV has S/PDIF output. The audio amp is an older amp with no S/PDIF input. I purchased a S?PDIF to analog audio convertor.I have the output plugged into my DAD input of my amp. I also tried the aux and tape inputs on the amp.
If I switch to TV or HDMI with Windows Media Center, I get a motor boating sound with very low audio.
Media played on XBMC, plays fine. XBMC does use their own audio drivers.
Any idea what would make this sound from TV and WMC?
