hi all

dos'ent seem to be any multi cell chargers around, i would like to charge 8 or 12 AA nicads at once, ideally by just keeping them in their holder and connecting to a charger by the pp3 connector, rather than taking them out each time.
so effectively charging them in series, can this be done?
if so any circuits?

many thanks
doug

Usefull inf. @ http://batteryuniversity.com/partone-.htm " We" used a 35 cell constant current NiCd "D" cell charger, 5 slots for 7 in series with a timer, Right or wrong we discharged them to near 0V every 10 days, It took Security a while to get used to using re-chargable batteries ,but were happy wheen they discovered the light was just as bright at end of shift as at start. Same set used at least 5 years, lost track when I retired.
