Hi All,

I'm new to micros and need some basic advice.
It's been a very long time since I have tried a project like this and I suspect there are all kinds of cool stuff out there now that I have no clue about.

I need a micro that has has at least 10 inputs that will need to be pulled up to look at a open collector device.
I will then need to output the value seen at the input to some sort of display either LCD or maybe some sort of day light legible LED. It probably needs to display 4 digits with a single decimal and a negative sign. It's a grey code type of code so it isn't BCD. There will need to be some sort of look up table to display the output in reference to the input. Probably 400 entries or something close to that.

This may be battery powered so power might be important.
Speed in not an issue.
Price is important so if I build these commercially I can do it at a decent price.

I need a suggestion for a micro and maybe a display any anything else that I may have missed.
I have downloaded mikroc Pro for AVR to program the device with.

If there is a good example out there please let me know so I don't have to reinvent the wheel.

Cheers

Dave
