Hello,

I don't know much about neons, I mean there operating voltage, current & power etc.
I can work out resistor, capacitor, wirings etc . But want to know any precautions for neons.

Thanks.

Neon tubes need a fairly high voltage to "strike". The actual value depends upon the particular tube, but the lowest is around 60V.
They also need a current-limiting resistor, which can be quite a high value, in series with them.

In this respect they function much like a zener diode.

You can't get a neon to strike with 12V.
