Guys, I have a nice digital multi meter but it has 4 ports on it and sometimes I get confused where to plug the leads in and my eyesight is bad so now I have to get glasses to see what I'm doing and so on.

Looking for one with either two ports only or the leads hard wired into the unit and where you simply change the SETTING to what you want and then proceed to measure.

However, I would like something with large digits and preferably backlit display or led digits. Ie, easy to see.

Also, I would like something low cost if possible.

I mostly measure small batteries but occasionally also 110/220v with whatever amperage is common.

Conductivity tester with buzzer is another option I'd like.

Don't need to measure ohms or frequency.

Something like this perhaps?

I like the looks of it but again, I'm afraid I might confuse the ports.

Thanks and links are always appreciated.

Dave, I've seen those and that would make things simpler. Thinking of getting one of these since I have the same brand... http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNI-T-UT33C...476?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cff53ad7c

Paul, how about this one? Isn't this what it does (less the AC current that is which isn't important to me)

I'd get it but not sure about quality/accuracy and not sure how big the digits are. Mine has HUGE digits http://ecutool.com/proimg/Handheld Digital Multimeters UT50B_3601105_A.jpg

Yeah, I just noticed that the one Dave recommended was auto ranging and I think my old Fluke (which I can't find and it really pisses me off 'cause I loved it) WAS autoranging. My UT50B isn't :(

One thing I find that is strange. I looked at the rest of the Tenma range and the top of the range unit looks JUST like mine so I'm guessing it's the same manufacturer. Different name and color. HOWEVER, the UNI-T brand that I have doesn't seem to have anything that's autoranging but the Tenma does. I thought that was a bit strange.

I also (now that I'm learning a few things) did a search and found this (I"m in the US) which seems just about idiot proof with the colors on the settings http://www.walmart.com/ip/Equus-3320-Innova-Auto-Ranging-Digital-Multimeter/14644666#
