Hello,

I'm having trouble with this particular question, which I have attached below. The question states that I find Ic1,Vc1,Vce1,Ic2,Vc2,Vce2. I have found Ic1,Vc1,Vce1 which are 4mA,5.2V,5.2V respectively. However, I cannot get the right answer for Ic2. I don't know if my KVL is messed up or something else. I hope some one can help me. thanks in advance

The beta for this question is 100 and both transistors are silicon-based.

You got what you got right. To get Ic2 look at the voltage Vb2 = Vc1. Then Ve2 = (Vb2 - .6) = (5.2 - .6) = 4.6 volts and Ie2 = Ve2/Re2 = 4.6/4700 = 1mA and Ic2 is about the same, so Vc2 = 30 - 1*20 = 10 volts.
