I recently purchased a Used TENMA Oscilloscope and being a Complete NEWBIE I am looking for a Source of Info on how to use it. I have the Manual and was able to get it setup. I am trying to use it to check out RS232c Circuits on an Old S-100 Northstar computer. I need to be able to trace the Input and Output Circuits from the 8251 through the 1488 & 1489 Recvr & driver chips. My problem is getting the right settings on the TENMA. I was able to see a display when I hooked up the Probes to my RS232c breakout box but I only see a Saw Tooth where it should be a Square wave. I had it once but when I restart the scope it reverts back to a Saw tooth. Not sure exactly what combination of settings to use.
    Any help will be appreciated,.
