I got this temperature monitor from a friend which has high and lo presets w/ 12V out and I accidentally snapped the external thermometer and I can't find a suitable replacement.

I have tried google'ing all the markings on the PCB it but i can't find any documentation for it.

My best guess is this company made it : http://www.hotfrog.com.au/Companies/Circuit-Level-Electronics but that number doesn't exist :(

I'm not sure whether to use a thermistor or a thermocouple! I'm only beginner level with electronics so go easy :)

Thanks!

What temperature range was covered?; if around 0-100C prob. a thermistor. If you still have the broken parts, measure resistance of both halvs and replace with a whole one or glue parts together with conductive cement.
