I have an AC-DC Electronics power supply model OEM12N9.5.
It just died. I checked the transistors and one of the pair seems to be open. It's labeled STI (best I can read) 54-031. It's a PNP in a TO-3 case.
There are two of them, one checks OK with an ohmmeter, the other doesn't. The pair are driven by a 2N5956 in a TO-66 case. The 2N5956 checks OK.
I'd like to repair the supply but I can't find any info on the STI transistors.
Would any good PNP power transistors work instead?
Thanks in advance.
Jack
P.S. Not sure this is the proper forum, so move me if necessary.
