Calculate the voltage that appears at terminals A-B; that is the Thevenin voltage Vt.

Then place a short across the A-B terminals. Calculate the current that will pass through the short; that is the Thevenin current It.

The Thevenin resistance will be Vt/It.

Thanks alot.. We were so stuck in this question today.. Now I will always try to use the Short Circuit current first as compared to directly finding the thevenin resistance from points AB..
