we need to make an elevator that doesn't use μC.
please help need it in our school

how do i the circuit knows if the elevator is on what floor?

I'm sure you can think of many ways to address that...how about some thing magnetically activated like you can find in simple house alarms?

 

so i used microswitch to know the position of the elevator.

my question is, how to know if i press a button on other floor , the elevator will go up or down,

position of the elevator
0001 - 1F
0010 - 2F
0100 - 3F
1000 - 4F


i have 10 switches. 4 inside the elevator, switch in 1st floor for people who wants to go up, 2 in 2F to go up or down, 2 in 3F to go up and down, 1 in 4F to go down.



0001 first floor all switches will make the motor to go up ( Clockwise)

0010 2nd 1st switch inside the elevator will make it go down, 1st floor
switch will make it go down too, others will
make it go up.

0100 3rd 4th switch inside will make it go up. 4th floor switch will make
make it go up, other switch will go down.

1000 4th all switches will make the motor to go down ( counter CW)
