I am planning to build a spy robot that moves in shadows for spying purpose during night. The robot will carry a rf transmitter for transmitting conversations. My first year in electronic engineering will be completed in this November. I want to ask if this is good enough project for my level as I am taking part in a project competition which have only first year students.

 

depends how advanced you wanted to make it, and whether you are intending to use an RF transmission module.. whether you transmit the analogue waveform of the conversation, or convert to digital, then transmit?

 

From scratch or based on existing project.
As a student(I am not a EE student,but interested in making electronic things) I think it is quite ambitious to start from scratch. If you just want to make a robot that works, then it should be quite OK to do.
