I need help identifying a chip.
There is coating all over it so it is hard to see the numbers.
It is from TI.
It is an 8 PIN DIP.
It is found in what I think is the charge controller circuit of a charge/controller/LED driver circuit board.
It looks like the number on the chip is LM983P, But it could be LM383P or LM883P. But I cannot find a datasheet on any of these. Basically, I am not sure of the number right after the LM. But I am pretty sure it starts with LM and ends with 83P.
There is another number 84A01TM that I can see pretty well but this is a batch number.
Does anyone know what this chip might be?
