looking to build a power factor corection unit for my home ,
hoping it will save on energy consumption the voltage at the service is 246volts single phase applyed peek curent 56amps average current is 15 to 20 amp motor load and 3 to 30 resistive load { hwt, dryer element, and electric strip heat, inductive lighting] how large capacitor and lamp should i use please help

A single capacitor is unlikely to do the job since it interacts with each possible load in a different way. If you can achieve a power factor of 1, how much energy will you save? What would the savings be worth in your local currency? Do you know how much a typical high voltage capacitor costs?
