Need guide in building Mobile Robot

Hi there,

I am currently building a Mobile Robot which can connect to the computer through wireless.

I am using 2 stepper motors with 2 independent L297D ICs and L298 ICs connecting it to PIC16F877F. I have found quite a number of different circuits online and also looked through the datasheets for both the ICs but I am still stuck in designing the circuit to control the motors with batteries for power supply.

Anyone can help me with it?

Yes I have read that and did some research. I am still struggling on what kind of stepper motor to use. I have search the Malaysia market and found only 2 kinds of stepper motors. One is this :
HIGH TORQUE STEP MOTORS
TECO STEP MOTOR SPECIALISTS
MODEL:DSH40EX24A2K51001
5.1V 1.0A 38mm x38mm x25mm
MADE IN TAIWAN

Another one is just a normal one which I couldn't get the specs but all having 4 outputs. I am looking for something with only 3 outputs. Any recommendation?

And I have this connections from my lecturer. I need to build exactly the same thing and need to figure out all myself without him explaining to me. I don't really understand some of the circuits. Can anyone help analyze it for me?
