Need a pulse counting switch

I've been searching circuits and latching relay info and can't seem to come up with anything.
I want to take a multiple pulse (speaker output or Carrier signal) like clicking a microphone signal 5 pulses click, click, click, click, click and actuate a switch relay.
Then I will take this signal to drive a timer relay for like 5 minutes
The timer is no biggie and I can get a trigger signal out of a receiver and amplify it with no issue , But I can not come up with a pulse switch latch type relay

Any-one have any good ideas or schematics?

Thanks

hi,
A simple HEF4017 counter would enable you select 1 thru 9 click pulses.
The output pin of the 4017 could enable a CMOS 555 monostable, set for a 5 minute period.
While the 555 is timing, it could energise your relay for 5 minutes, using a relay drive transistor, then the counter etc would be reset at the end of the 5 minutes ready for the next 'clicks'
