hello guys, I am doing a project using ne555, 4026 and 7-segment display. I am wondering how to fixed the running time using ne555. The circuit I tried is keep running from 0 to 99(non-stop).So, I want to fixed it to 60s(I am when it run until 60 it will stop). Anyone can help me solve this problem.

If your using the CD4026 then you need to put a high signal on pin 2 when the count is at 60, to inhibit further clocking.

 

Consider replacing the NE555 with TLC555 or LMC555. These are CMOS versions, require less current and put less noise on the supply lines.

 

Schematics are the true language of electronics. Without a schematic we can only guess.
