I re installed my computer,but i dont have the driver cd for my modem(i lost it.)and i dont know the manufacturer name(its 5 yr old pc and i was not careful abt those things at that time).The only things which i know are
1.) when i run the device manager it shows a PCI modem is available but driver not installed.....
2.) my old bills say- FLINE 56kbps internal modem.....i searched for this fline and couldnt find any such manufacturer....
Please send me a way by which i can find the right driver.....Going back to vendor is my last choice....help here

Is there anything written on the modem card?
Is there a large chip with some code on it?
Some name on the large chip like , conexant , u.s.robotics ?

yaa got it... HSP688T is written on the chip.....i hav found some drivers on net and will try them....
