I have a problem that someone may have a solution. I have a device that I want to connect to my computer. This device has a 9 pin serial output. The manufacturer of the device supplies a MOXA NPort 5110. This converts the serial out put to ethernet. The NPort comes with a disc with a configuration progam on it which allows you to change the IP address of the MOXA unit. The problem is... the config program can find the unit but will not connect to make the changes to the IP. Does anyone have any experience with the MOXA units??. I have contacted MOXA thru there site but they will probably awhile before they contact me. Thanks for any input

I have noticed that an upgrade of the firmware often help to solve problems.

Still not sure what I was doing wrong but I tried the system on a different computer and all is good. Working great!! Thanks for the response bertus!
