Motor control using Hybrid design

I am trying to control the DC motor by using Half Hybrid design.
I am using PIC 16F877A(PWM 2KHz), Motor Driver IR2110 and MOSFET IRL3713 as switching device.
PWM is given only to the Upper Mosfet , Lower Mosfet is using as a freewheeling diode.
The problem is :-
The circuit is working fine without the load.
If i connect a small Motor (say 3V)the circuit is working fine for few minutes, then suddenly not getting output from controlller and Motor driver.
If i switch on the power after sometime the circuit is working and the same problem occurring.
If i connect a somewhat big motor(12V)and supplying currrent below 2A, its damaging the driver IC with in a short time.

please anyone help me.
