Hi all,
Pls, I need most basic square wave generator, without using ICs, OP-AMPs or 555 timers. I wanted the component of these ICs or OP-AMPs which is actually responsible for generation of square wave or completely different yet most basic circuit.
I want to make 100 Hz square wave generator.
Thanks in advance.

1. Wire up a Bistable with 2 Transistors. Feed it with signal from

a) Astable made of 2 Transistors
OR
b) Pulse Generator using a UJT.

ps. An Astable can be better designed.

I don't think anything can be more basic than this.

Why? and how accurate do you want the 100Hz to be?

A Bistable flip-flop driven by a simple tranisitor capacitive discharge timer may do it.
