Hi

I am attempting to solder a new mosfet Transistor onto my laptop motherboard , the mosfet as per attachment has 8 legs , pin numbers 1 to 3 are on a common track and pins 5 to 8 are also on another common track , question is , does it matter if the pins on the common track get soldered together on the board , it would make soldering a lot easyer than trying to soldder each leg individualy .

cheers

I solder them to a common track on the board. I do not make individual pads; although, in the mechanics of making the routes on the PCB using Eagle, one will usually see little nubs where each pin location is defined.

Here is an example where pins 5-8 are soldered together (with nubs) and pins 1-3 are soldered to pads to facilitate routing.
