The 34151 will only work if you want the outputs inverted.

The 34152 has non-inverting inputs.

The 34151 has inverting inputs.

Other than that they look the same.


A resistor of the proper value and an LED would work for a low side driver tester. But you would need to figure the resistor to suit the voltage and LED you are using.
