The following two questions i don't know how i would complete it:

for 8c, see if you remember how to calculate the phase angle if you have an equation for total impedance. In the problem, you are given the angle and L, so you can solve for R.

problem number 9 is a bit more complicated, you need to write out two equations - one for V1 and another for V0 - using the information given. Then you can solve for R and L

Would i use this question to find the R?

$Z^2=\sqrt(R^2+(X_L)^2)$

well, you don't know Z, but you can use the angle formula: your formula gives you the magnitude, how would you express the angle? R runs along x-axis in polar and Xl is y, so to find the angle, you can use tangent function
