I have a pushbutton momentary SP switch. I want to be able to latch a relay on with this switch and then turn it off as well. I have been racking my brain for a while now and am convinced that if I use a timer I will be able to use 2 relays and be able to break the circuit after latching it on. If there is a better way I would love input.

I want to know how you want it to be implemented: a pure electrical configuration consisting only of relays and your push button or a combination of electronics circuit (with discrete or logic components) implementation together with a relay?

 

Hi,

If you can stand to add a D flip-flop, you can toggle it with the switch and use Q or not_Q for the on/off level.

 

i have already done with this project
i used 555 timer ic to do so
and the circuit is doing well
