Hello,
I have a Bruno mobility scooter and it needs a power controller. It is obsolete so I have to go with a universal one. I need to know the wattage of my motor. Could you tell me how to find out either the wattage, or amperage of my motor ? Here is all the info that I can find on my motor.
Electric Statuce Watertown Ny.
Transaxle motor brake
p/n TXL-00204 24 vdc 181 RPM
serial # 00005022 0011
cub 034
01050200156

If you could provide any info, or maybe steer me in the right direction I would appreciate it !

On the motor nameplate, if present.....Voltage x amperage = watts......though I see no amp figure in what you posted............

disconnect your drive belt, and run the motor open, for a baseline amp measure, and then figure a way to hold the motor stalled, and measure lock-rotor amperage for the watt formula. your actual wattage figure will fall somewhere between.
