Hi,

I have written a program for a pic18F2480 and can run the program in debug mode attached to the computer so I can run basic tests. Now I think I am done debugging and want to load the final program onto the chip but I am not managing that.

I tried debug and run in both mplab and hitide but the chip does not seem to remember my program. Does anyone know the simple solution (which I expect it is) to this problem?

As mentioned, I can use both hitide or mplab.

Did you set MPLAB to Release?

Hope that does it. You could also try forcing debug to off
DEBUG_OFF
