OK, so im pretty sure this question is legit talking about tesla coils, because im not talking about anything dangerous. is there a way to measure the capacitance of a top load? i have a function generator and several meters including a capacitance meter. but no osciliscope. im not looking for online calculators, as i know there are many, cause im not using a standard toroid. BTW i do have the secondary wound.

 

So what's a "top load"?

 

the top of the tesla coil. typicaly donut shaped toroid. mine is more of a flattened sphere.
