what is cold-junction compensation ??For 0-65°C a thermistor would do the job. If you use a thermocouple in that range, you will have to do a cold-junction compensation, and that usually uses a thermistor.
A thermocouple is based on the Seeback Effect. Because the voltage generated by the thermocouples proportional to the difference in temperatures of its two opposite ends, you need to know the temperature of one end (the cold junction) before you can calculate the temperature at the other end. Usually a thermistor is used to automatically compensate for any change in the cold junction temperature.what is cold-junction compensation ??
