Job Description
We seek a Senior Generator Tech to assume broad technical and management responsibilities required in the installation, service, and repair of power solutions equipment. These generator sets are used in a variety of applications from emergency stand-by to peak shaving, co-generation and prime power plants paralleled to the grid



You will:
  • Provide technical support to clients as required in all phases of installing and supporting power generation equipment particularly large stationary systems.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on generator products.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues to include 1 phase and 3 phase AC electricity and DC control circuits.
  • Troubleshoot and repair DDEC issues
  • Troublesoot and repair voltage regulation issues
  • Handle all basic repairs without supervision
We currently have two available opportunities with our client, One in Panama City and another in Miami.
You have:

  • In depth experience (5 + years minimum) with all components of power gen systems – engines, generators, switch gear, & load banks, etc.
  • Must have experience working with DDC and MTU products.
  • Up to date knowledge of computer and software systems used in the control, testing, and diagnostic procedures of high tech power gen equipment.

We seek a Senior Service Tech to assume broad technical and management responsibilities required in the installation, service, and repair of power solutions equipment. These generator sets are used in a variety of applications from emergency stand-by to peak shaving, co-generation and prime power plants paralleled to the grid

You will:
  • Provide technical support to clients and to your internal staff as required in all phases of installing and supporting power generation equipment (sizes to 3.0 megawatts).
  • Manage the activities of a group of up to twenty power gen technicians.
  • Serve as a technical resource in the engineering, sizing, and installation planning for high tech engine driven power generators.
You have:
  • A clearly demonstrated track record of success installing, maintaining, and repairing high tech power generating equipment.
  • In depth experience (10 + years minimum) with all components of power gen systems – big bore engines, generators, switch gear, & load banks, etc. Experience with the switching, paralleling, & control technologies required for multiple systems that support medical, military, government, and data processing sites is highly desirable.
  • Up to date knowledge of computer and software systems used in the control, testing, and diagnostic procedures of high tech power gen equipment.
  • The ability to manage a highly trained group of installation and support technicians dedicated to superior 24 x 7 service.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Residence in the greater Baltimore area will be required. Relocation assistance will be provided.

No reponce to your Information,Don't know what going on
with all these guys looking for work.They say 60 % of
umemployed are living at home,another thing to note,brokers
are worried that when they try to sit down with baby boomer
parents,they don't want to talk about leaving the nest egg
to the kids.We are talking about a high percentage of
parents.The brokers are concerned that there usual long term
percentage won't be there because the parents are going to spend
the money on themself's,leaving no money for kids and no commission
for brokers.The brokers were expecting the commissions due to the
economy,big surprise.

These two jobs are reflective of the 20 or so a week that filter in through my mailbox.

$80K+ per year with no schooling or degrees.

Looks like experience is still worth its weight in gold.

These jobs usually go to people who have very little experience because most others are afraid to apply thinking they dont have the knowledge.

Power Generation is serious business and potentially dangerous, but probably not as brain-racking as IT stuff that can pay much less.
 
Top
