The attached LTspice file is taking a very long time to simulate. Please can anyone offer any suggestions to decrease the simulation time?

 

i tried this program and its awful.. so fustrating.

Not exactly helpful....


I don't have LTspice on this computer, so I can't open your file, but if you have a lot of components, it will take longer to simulate... that's the name of the game...
You may want to change the simulation run time like
this(page 29), it explains how to change the simulation runtime...

its not user friendly, looking for parts, placing components etc is ridiculous tbh.

 

Spice simulation time always tends to be long for switching regulators since the loop response is a relatively low frequency compared to the switching frequency. Thus to do 100ms of simulation requires the simulator to do many thousands of complex calculations. Sometimes you just have to start the simulation and then go on a break.

One way to speed it up is to use a faster computer.
