Hello! I'm actually looking to purchase a very simple audio amplifier with these specifications:

- Consistent gain of 20 dB across high and low amplitude input signals
- Output of up to roughly ±10 V for a 50 Ω load (earphones)
- Cheap

If it can give a higher output, that's great, and extra functionality (e.g., other gain options) are welcome!

 

Maybe the Fireye Mini; it's around $40, or something from FIIO or GoVibe. This is the European site. The home site in Taiwan and the U.S. site don't show the product, just dealer information.

I've been happy with my Radio Shack " Mini audio amp" 277-1008C, 200mW, 100-10kHz, 5k in, 1mV, 16Ω speaker & jack, 9V battery & jack, about $14. Uses 386 IC with one pre-amp stage.

 

Thanks for the replies. For a 10V output over a 50 Ω load, I believe I'll need something that can pump out 2 W or higher. Some of the items on the Firestone Audio site look promising!
