Hi fellows, please help me with this. Anybody knows how can I test reliability of LMT? Is there any standard for doing this like there is for amplifier (CEA), speakers(EIA IEC). Any clues? I tried on google but no good data found.

 

We might be able to help if we knew what are LMT, CEA, EIA, IEC.

 

Forget other acronyms! Just focus on LMT: line matching transformer used in ceiling or wall mount speaker. In such application to avoid I2R loss music signal is transmitted as a high voltage & low current signal [at 70V(USA) or 100V(Others)]. So every individual speaker has LMT which converts 100V or 70V line to lower voltage to produce desired ouput.
