My LM35DZ connected directly to a 9V pulls me out 0.53 V, is it broken?

Sorry I do not have the schema on hand,

I just connect the + battery to the input power supply of the LM35, the less to ground and I measure between ground and the output.

Take a look at the datasheet on how it should be connected:
LM35.pdf

The output will be 10 mV/°C.
