Hi all,

For pat of a college project building a closed loop feedback system on a small 12V conveyor.

For the input i was going to connect a small metalic wheel to the motor of the conveyor, and use a proxy but this only gives a DC outout. Where the 8 pin LM2917 needs an AC input. The only reason i was going to use this proxy is because i happened to find one at work.

Is there anyway to make this work, or a cheap / easy alterntive?

What is "a proxy"?

All you need to do is get the signal to traverse above and below the 2917-8's ground.

You can do that with an RC passive differentiator circuit.

Can you post your schematic of what you intend to do?
