i am using a lm 35 TO-92 plastic pack ic to measure body surface temperature of the motor. can i stick the sensor directly to the body surface of the motor using glue or cement? the motor body surface temp can go upt to 130 degrees centigrade.

what temperature can the plastic pack take? is it the upto 150 degrees centigrade which is its measuring capacity?

There are different versions of LM35, denoted by letters following the LM35 part number.

Only the LM35 and LM35A can go all the way to +150°C.

The plastic(actually epoxy) TO-92 package is probably LM35C or LM35D which measures to ~100°C only.
